On the Eve of the 20th Anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, MSLBMDA would like to take a moment to honor those Americans who lost their lives that terrible day. We recognize their loved ones left behind and the many who have continued the fight for our freedom twenty years later. We recognize Firefighters, First Responders, Law Enforcement, our brave Military and concerned civilians – who selflessly charged into unimaginable conditions to save lives. As we reflect upon the tragic events 20 years ago, we remain humbled by the bravery & compassion of so many. We recognize in the aftermath of 9/11, we strive to be a nation united and as a people with a common purpose. As we live in a seemingly fractured country still struggling with a pandemic and internal strife, let us look to how we all came together 20 years ago as Americans with resolve and a commitment to be united for the future and be kind to one another.
